Job summary

Yelp is seeking a Principal Product Manager for Ads Auction and Measurement to own strategy and execution of Yelp's core ad auction, bidding, pricing, and budget pacing. You will lead cross-functional work with engineering, data science, sales, and finance to optimize auction dynamics, design metrics, and run large-scale experiments.

This is a highly technical leadership role with impact on revenue and advertiser success, all conducted remotely across the United States.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical product management experience in ads/monetization.
• Deep understanding of auction theory and optimization.
• Strong data skills with SQL and at least one scripting language.
• Experience with A/B testing, causal inference, and experimental design.
• Advanced degree highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive roadmap for ads auction, bidding, pricing, and budget pacing.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Data Science to design auction systems.
• Define metrics framework to evaluate auction health and impact.
• Conduct hands-on analysis of large auction datasets with SQL/Python.
• Lead end-to-end product development for auction features.
• Communicate complex trade-offs to cross-functional audiences.
• Influence revenue and advertiser success through efficient marketplace design.
