Yelp seeks a Senior Product supervisor to build advertising capabilities and algorithms, owning product areas that grow the ad value for local businesses and customers by developing and whiteboarding features to release to market.

This fully remote role lets you work with a cross‑functional team of product managers, applied scientists, ML engineers, backend engineers, and more, leading ads initiatives for a billion‑dollar platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Product manager experience in a relevant industry with physics/math/engineering/economics background.
• Tech savvy: fixes tough, mission-critical technical issues and drives revenue growth.
• Problem solver: breaks down complex problems into actionable steps; uses IPython.
• Effective communicator: translates technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• Operational know-how: improves ad-system reliability and metrics monitoring.
• Strong collaborator: works across teams and timezones.

Responsibilities

• Build algorithms that decide ad ranking, matching, and pricing across multiple stock assets.
• Develop and apply predictive models to allocate, match, and connect advertisers and clients.
• Carry out analyses to understand the ads market and identify new focus areas for engineering.
• Optimize components of the ad auction to drive more value for advertisers.
