Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Principal Software Platform Engineer to define and drive the technical direction for reliable deployment capabilities across the OCI Developer Platform. You will align teams, remove barriers to velocity, and establish foundations for scalable, secure, and safe agentic engineering at cloud scale.

The role focuses on developer productivity, platform reliability, and creating durable platform primitives that enable OCI teams and customers to deliver

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, including leading design and delivery of production-quality distributed systems or developer tools.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C++, C#, Python or similar.
• Deep experience designing APIs, data models, and service architectures with focus on scalability, availability, security, operability, and evolution.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native systems, including containers, orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, or release engineering concepts.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and ownership: define strategy, align stakeholders, drive execution, and be accountable for production outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence technical decisions across teams.
