Job summary

Oracle Corporation is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer in Nashville to define and drive the technical direction for reliable deployment capabilities within the OCI Developer Platform.

You will align teams around durable platform primitives, remove barriers to velocity, and establish foundations for agentic engineering at cloud scale while preserving safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience, including leading design and delivery of distributed systems, platform services, or developer tools.
• Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages such as Java, Go, C++, C#, Python, or similar.
• Deep experience designing APIs, data models, and service architectures with focus on scalability, availability, security, operability, and evolution.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native systems, including containers, orchestration, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, or release engineering concepts.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and ownership: define strategy, align stakeholders, drive execution, and be accountable for production outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence technical decisions across engineering disciplines.
