Oracle is transforming the developer platform experience on OCI. We are building a greenfield deployment system that will be a core foundation for how developers build, validate, release, operate, and evolve services.

You will design and deliver reliable deployment capabilities for engineers to ship changes safely across environments. The Senior Software Development Engineer role requires a CS/engineering degree or equivalent, 3+ years delivering production-grade distributed systems, and strong

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of professional software development experience delivering distributed systems or platform services.
Strong programming skills in Java, Go, C++, C#, Python, or similar.

Responsibilities

Design, build, test, and operate core services and APIs for a modern application deployment platform on OCI.
Deliver resilient, scalable deployment workflows for diverse environments and service architectures.
Partner with product managers, architects, security engineers, SREs, and developer teams to turn needs into technical designs and high-quality software.
Build safety and reliability into the product by default: isolation, policy enforcement, auditability, observability, rollback and recovery paths.
Develop platform primitives enabling AI- and agent-assisted engineering workflows with proper controls.
Use operational signals and customer feedback to improve developer experience, performance, availability, and deployment success rates.
