Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to lead the design and rollout of modern developer platforms and CI/CD ecosystems. You will architect agentic AI automation, implement guardrails, and drive enterprise templates across multiple teams.

You will also mentor engineers, collaborate with Security and Compliance, and advance GitOps deployments (ArgoCD) and artifact management (Artifactory) at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in internal developer platforms/CI/CD ecosystems at scale (IC5).
• Hands-on experience with production LLM/agentic AI automation workflows with guardrails.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted engineering tools (Anthropic Claude via Bedrock, GitHub Copilot Enterprise).
• Deep expertise in CI/CD architecture, artifact management (Artifactory), and GitOps (ArgoCD).
• Experience setting architectural direction and cross-team alignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and rollout of modern developer platform initiatives across CI/CD and GitOps.
• Architect and deploy agentic AI systems that automate platform configurations at scale.
• Establish evaluation frameworks, regression testing loops, and safety guardrails for AI-generated configs.
• Define enterprise templates and reusable workflows to scale platform efforts.
• Drive AI-assisted DX enablement and automated PR checks.
• Partner with Security/Compliance to embed governance in pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and chair technical design reviews.
