Job summary

Yahoo Inc. is seeking a technically sophisticated Sr. Product Manager (IC4) to lead platform pillars like Cloud Runtime (K8s), Security, and Messaging.

You will drive AI-first roadmaps, leverage AI productivity tools, and partner with engineering, finance, and procurement to balance cost, feasibility, and speed to market. Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent technical experience
• 4+ years of experience in product management in cloud infrastructure, developer tools, or distributed systems
• 7+ years of total industry experience in software services
• Proven ability to use AI productivity tools (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate product discovery, documentation, and technical analysis
• Demonstrated technical depth in cloud services (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, and modern architectural patterns

Responsibilities

• Lead the product strategy for platform pillars such as Cloud Runtime (K8s), Security, and Messaging
• Identify and implement AI-driven efficiencies to replace manual tasks with AI-assisted workflows
• Deliver platform solutions that reduce cognitive load, optimize costs, and improve reliability
• Use generative AI to synthesize insights from customer feedback to accelerate MVP definition
• Serve as a subject matter expert and evangelize the platform's value and roadmap to stakeholders
• Define and execute an AI-first product roadmap integrating models and autonomous agents
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, and procurement to balance cost, feasibility, and speed
• Exercise judgment on when to rely on AI-augmented oversight vs manual validation
• Execute internal go-to-market strategies to drive adoption within the developer community
