Job summary

Releady is seeking an Applications Architect, Principal to guide the architecture direction for major platform capabilities. You will own cross-domain decisions, review designs, and mentor senior engineers while aligning with payer, provider, pharma, and partner workflows.

The role requires deep cloud-native and microservices expertise, hands-on coding, and strong communication to translate strategy into actionable architecture for engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent experience with a minimum of 4 years in lieu of a degree.
• 10+ years of software engineering, application architecture, or platform engineering.
• Experience leading architecture for distributed systems and cloud-native platforms.
• Hands-on ability to guide service design, API contracts, and data modeling.
• Strong communication skills for influencing senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define application architecture direction for major platform capabilities and reusable services.
• Lead decisions on service decomposition, API ecosystems, and event-driven workflows.
• Partner with senior teams to align architecture with platform strategy.
• Drive build-vs-buy and modernization decisions for speed and reliability.
• Review designs, read code, and reason through incidents to guide teams.
• Establish architecture standards and review practices for production readiness.
• Resolve high-impact risks and cross-team dependencies in complex platform tradeoffs.
• Create reusable frameworks and AI-enabled guidance for engineering consistency.
• Mentor senior engineers, architects, and technical leads to raise quality.
