Job summary

Appnovation is seeking a Principal Technical Architect (Senior Director level) to own the platform's technical strategy and architecture. You will translate business needs into target architecture, guide engineering teams, and ensure security, scalability, and enterprise alignment at global scale.

You will lead a high-performing engineering organization, define standards, collaborate with senior leaders and product owners, and drive AI-enabled delivery and governance across the platform.

Qualifications

• Experience owning the technical strategy and architecture of a significant platform.
• Ability to lead and develop engineering teams including architects and tech leads.
• Hands-on expertise in cloud platforms, data and integration patterns, APIs, security and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Platform Technical Strategy: Own the platform's technical roadmap and target-state architecture.
• Architecture and Design Authority: Define target architecture and key technical standards.
• Platform Engineering Leadership: Lead and develop the engineering teams building and operating the platform.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Align with senior business and Digital leaders to translate needs into technical decisions.
• AI-Enabled Delivery: Apply AI, automation and modern engineering practices while ensuring governance.
• Technical Talent and Culture: Build a high-performing team with a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Reliability, Security, and Governance: Set expectations for reliability, security and observability.
