Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with relevant experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering or architecture experience.
• Experience leading architecture for distributed systems and cloud-native platforms.
• Hands-on engineering background guiding service design, API contracts, and data modeling.
• Strong experience with domain-driven design and microservices.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate platform strategy into execution.
• Experience with Azure; AWS/GCP transferable.
• Healthcare/pharma/security domain experience preferred.
• Excellent written communication.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture direction for major platform capabilities and services.
• Lead decisions on service decomposition, API ecosystems, event-driven workflows.
• Partner with senior teams to align architecture with strategy.
• Drive build-vs-buy, integration consolidation, and modernization efforts.
• Review designs, read code, and guide production decisions.
• Establish architecture standards and review practices.
• Resolve high-impact risks and cross-team dependencies.
• Create reusable frameworks, reference patterns, and AI-guided guidance.
• Mentor engineers and technical leads to raise quality.
• Document decisions with patterns for AI tools and architecture notes.
