Releady, partnering with a leading healthcare technology company, seeks an Application Architect, Principal to drive architecture direction for major platform capabilities and cross-domain initiatives.

You will lead decisions on service decomposition, API ecosystems, and event-driven workflows while collaborating across engineering, product, security, and operations to align architecture with platform strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 4 years of additional relevant experience if no degree.
• 10+ years of software engineering or architecture experience.
• Experience leading architecture for distributed, cloud-native platforms and modernization initiatives.
• Strong ability to translate strategy into architecture direction and execution standards.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture direction for major platform capabilities and cross-domain initiatives.
• Lead decisions for service decomposition, API ecosystems, and event-driven workflows.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to align architecture with platform strategy.
• Drive build-vs-buy and modernization decisions to improve speed and reliability.
• Stay hands-on to review designs, code, and incidents as needed.
• Establish architecture standards and review practices for production readiness and security.
• Mentor engineers and technical leads to raise architectural quality and execution.
• Create reusable patterns and AI-enabled guidance for engineering teams.
