Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced mixed-signal design leader in Richardson, TX to own architecture for HBM and DRAM subsystems.

You will drive high-speed I/O, timing, and analog front-end, while coordinating with digital, layout, packaging, and process teams to meet performance, reliability, and safety targets. The role requires leadership in pre- and post-silicon validation, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and applying AI/ML-assisted methods to optimize design insight

Responsibilities

• Define and own mixed-signal architecture for HBM and DRAM subsystems, including High-speed I/O and PHY circuits
• Clocking, PLL/DLL, and timing distribution
• Data path analog front-end (TX/RX, equalization, termination)
• Voltage regulation, sensing, and reference generation
• Drive architectural tradeoffs across performance, bandwidth, latency, power, area, and reliability
• Ensure robust reset/power-up behavior, corner-case handling, and clean ECO pathways
• Lead the design of advanced mixed-signal and analog circuits (e.g., serializers/deserializers, drivers)
• Sense amplifiers and data sampling circuits
• Clock/data recovery and training circuits
• Power management and on-die regulation
• Lead pre-silicon validation strategy and modeling assumptions
• Drive post-silicon bring-up, characterization, and debug
• Ensure designs meet HBM/DRAM specs and compliance, reliability and safety targets
• Guide verification strategy for mixed-signal blocks (AMS, behavioral, silicon correlation)
• Partner with Digital design, Physical design, Packaging, SI/PI, and process teams
• Mentor senior and staff engineers across disciplines
• Establish and evolve design methodologies and best practices
• Apply AI/ML-assisted design methodologies to improve analysis, simulation, and optimization workflows
• Leverage data-driven methods to identify design trends and accelerate debugging
