Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group seeks a highly experienced Principal Mechanical Engineering Consultant to lead and manage mechanical design projects for owners, developers, architects, and partners. You will guide design, installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of HVAC and control systems with hands-on involvement.

Applicants should have a PE license, 15+ years in the built environment, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in design, assessment, and/or construction of the built environment.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and preparation of conceptual designs and layouts.
• Coordinate and deliver schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
• Prepare detailed drawings and specifications in compliance with codes.
• Deliver projects across design-bid-build, design-assist, and design-build models.
• Conduct or assist with on-site condition surveys.
• Maintain strong client relationships to ensure project delivery.
