Job summary

Rimkus seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineering Consultant to lead mechanical projects across heating, cooling, ventilation, and controls. You will guide design, installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning, working with owners, developers, architects, and contractors.

You will apply deep HVAC expertise, develop construction documents, and supervise on-site surveys while mentoring junior staff and maintaining strong client relationships for repeat business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; PE license required.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in design, assessment or construction of built environment projects.
• Proven leadership, strong communication and professional integrity.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual designs and prepare schematic layouts.
• Deliver design documents across design-bid-build, design-build models.
• Supervise on-site surveys and translate findings into designs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated project delivery.
• Mentor junior staff and foster client relationships for repeat business.
