Job summary

Rimkus is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer in New York to evaluate design and field changes during construction and support nationwide projects. Work under a Principal engineer to gather data and perform design tasks for new and remedial construction.

You will lead project teams, coordinate with business development, and provide technical input for proposals. 8+ years of mechanical design experience and a PE license are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• PE licensure encouraged.
• 8+ years of mechanical design experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-discipline projects and coordinate teams.
• Provide input to Proposals and Practice Leaders.
• Work with licensed professionals on design, assessment, and construction of buildings.
• Perform field assessments from ladders, lifts, scaffolds, confined spaces, rooftops, and equipment rooms.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients.
• Stay in weekly contact with the client and address concerns.
