Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, is hiring a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer for the Test Systems Engineering (TSE) family in Jupiter, Florida. You will design and deliver mechanical, electrical, and physical infrastructure to support jet engine testing and development.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, review designs, and ensure safety, code compliance, and project schedules. Expect travel up to 10% and collaboration with CIPTs, Test Operations, and data teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering required.
• 8+ years of engineering experience or 5+ years with an advanced degree.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for test systems and engine test rigs.
• Interpret requirements and develop conceptual designs.
• Collaborate with BOM CIPTs, Test Operations, FCS, and Data Recording.
• Produce high-quality product definition deliverables.
• Lead design reviews with stakeholders and chief engineers.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Ensure safety, code compliance, budget, and schedule.
• Travel up to 10% domestically.
