Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Engineer in Sunnyvale, CA to oversee capital machinery, optimize tooling, and improve throughput. You will work on high-value gearing, steam turbine assemblies, and related machined components, ensuring efficient layouts and production readiness.

The role requires hands-on machining experience, strong drawing reading skills, and U.S. citizenship.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience; or a Master's with 3+ years.
• Experience in manufacturing as a process owner (process, equipment, documentation, training).
• Hands-on machining and troubleshooting in a machine shop environment.
• Experience with machine tool equipment and control systems (large CNC mills, lathes, hobbers, grinders).
• Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• US citizenship required.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee operation of capital machinery, specializing in machine tool systems (milling, boring, turning, hobbling, grinding).
• Optimize equipment performance by implementing new capabilities and tooling components.
• Troubleshoot machine failures to minimize downtime with maintenance and OEMs.
• Support new capital procurement and the layout of machines for efficient production.
• Adapt machine designs to factory and production conditions.
