Job summary

GlobalFoundries, Malta FAB8, is seeking a Principal Maintenance Technician for the B Shift Nights. You will monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor equipment, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and working with production teams to ensure readiness.

The role requires 4+ years in semiconductor maintenance, strong problem-solving, and the ability to operate in a cleanroom with strict safety protocols. Evening/night shifts and cross-functional collaboration are integral.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year technical/associates degree in science, math, engineering, or semiconductor field.
• 4+ years direct experience in semiconductor manufacturing or tool maintenance.
• 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent military experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, sustain and improve equipment in the assigned area.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tools per procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment using electrical, mechanical and PC skills.
• Communicate status updates to Lead Tech/Engineer.
• Follow EHS&S policies and safety requirements.
