Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Fab8 Malta. You will monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes, partner with production teams and area engineers, and perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on tool sets to ensure manufacturing readiness.

The role requires strong communication, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work 12-hour alternating day/night shifts in a cleanroom while adhering to EHS policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Electrical or mechanical experience is preferred.
• 2-year technical degree or 2 years military experience acceptable.
• 4 years of relevant maintenance experience acceptable.
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and test readiness for manufacturing.
• Communicate status updates to Lead Tech or Engineer.
• Follow detailed procedures and safety policies.
• Work independently and with teams in a fast-paced setting.
