Job summary

Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. (WJE) seeks an Associate Principal or Principal Geotechnical Engineer to lead and expand our geotechnical practice across the United States.

You will manage projects, provide technical leadership, mentor staff, and engage with clients to deliver innovative solutions for foundations, slope stability, and remedial work on buildings and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Licensed Geotechnical Engineer in relevant state(s).
• Master's degree or PhD in geotechnical engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 20 years of relevant industry experience (25+ preferred).

Responsibilities

• Project management, including client development, scoping, team assembly, schedules and budgets.
• Technical leadership with deep understanding of codes, guidelines, and best practices.
• Mentorship and knowledge-sharing across local and company-wide teams.
• Contribute to practice growth and engage in client relations and industry activities.
