Job summary

RTX in Massachusetts seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong COTS computing and networking background to join the Hardware and Infrastructure team, developing the next generation RADAR solutions. You will collaborate with Product Leads on design and development of COTS-based systems and contribute to safety-critical software and hardware integration.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of experience, Unix/Linux proficiency, and the ability to work on-site at

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline.
Minimum five years of professional experience.
Experience with Unix and Linux operating systems.
Experience building and documenting IT infrastructure through COTS hardware.
Ability to take a concept and develop a complete COTS-based hardware design.
Design verification via integration and test plans.

Responsibilities

Design COTS hardware infrastructure systems (e.g. X86-based processors).
Research and select servers, workstations, add-in interface cards, storage devices, and other COTS hardware.
Engineer BIOS and operating system configuration definitions.
Work in a lab environment with test equipment including oscilloscopes and emulators.
Collaborate with hardware, supply chain, field engineering, and customers to deliver safety-critical systems.
Support occasional domestic travel and potential international travel.
