Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal / Senior Principal Flight Test Engineer to join our Test and Evaluation team. The role is 100% on-site at Edwards AFB, CA, with opportunities to lead test planning across aircraft platforms.

The position may be filled at Principal or Sr. Principal level. It requires a STEM degree, Secret clearance, and the ability to obtain SAP clearance. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM; 5+ years with BS or 3+ with MS.
• Must have active US Government Secret clearance (with BI in past 6 years or Continuous Evaluation).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain SAP clearance.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and publish Integrated Test Plans, detailed test plans and schedules.
• Provide laboratory support for integration testing.
• Host test planning working groups and interface with design/analysis teams.
• Review test requirements for completeness and provide system-level evaluations.
• Support test readiness reviews and pre/post-test briefings.
• Provide mission control room support and real-time safety decisions.
