Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in California is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Flight Test Engineer to join our Test and Evaluation team at Edwards AFB. This on-site role supports multiple aircraft platforms and requires strong systems-level analysis.

You will develop test plans, safety procedures, and real-time decisions in the control room, interfacing with design, analysis, and operations staff to ensure successful development testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM field required.
• 5+ years experience with BS or 3+ years with MS.
• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Interface with design and analysis teams to define test configuration and data requirements.
• Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of test program.
• Support and host test planning working groups across multiple disciplines.
• Perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepare comprehensive system level evaluations.
• Develop detailed test plans, safety plans, test schedules, and test procedures for developmental testing.
• Support test readiness reviews and pre/post-test briefings for senior leadership.
