Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal / Senior Principal Flight Test Engineer to support test and evaluation activities on aircraft platforms. The role is 100% on-site at Edwards AFB, CA. Relocation assistance may be available and a Secret clearance is required.

The position emphasizes test planning, data analysis, and cross-disciplinary coordination with design, maintenance, and operations teams. Strong communication and MATLAB/IADS proficiency are valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM).
5+ years of applicable experience with a BS or 3 years with an MS for Principal.
Active US Government Secret clearance with potential for SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

Interface with design and analysis teams to define test configuration and data requirements.
Develop detailed test plans, safety plans, schedules, and procedures for developmental testing.
Provide control room support and real-time decisions on safety and effectiveness.
Conduct pre/post-test analyses to support anomaly identification and resolution.
