Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal / Senior Principal Flight Test Engineer to support test and evaluation activities on aircraft platforms. The role is 100% on-site at Edwards AFB, CA. Relocation assistance may be available and a Secret clearance is required.

The position emphasizes test planning, data analysis, and cross-disciplinary coordination with design, maintenance, and operations teams. Strong communication and MATLAB/IADS proficiency are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM).
• 5+ years of applicable experience with a BS or 3 years with an MS for Principal.
• Active US Government Secret clearance with potential for SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Interface with design and analysis teams to define test configuration and data requirements.
• Develop detailed test plans, safety plans, schedules, and procedures for developmental testing.
• Provide control room support and real-time decisions on safety and effectiveness.
• Conduct pre/post-test analyses to support anomaly identification and resolution.
