Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal / Senior Principal Flight Test Engineer to join our Test and Evaluation team at Edwards AFB, CA. The role focuses on developing and publishing comprehensive test plans, coordinating with design and test operations, and guiding data collection and analysis for developmental testing.

The position requires outstanding written and oral communications, the ability to work both independently and in a team, and the readiness to support on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM).
• Minimum 5 years of applicable experience with a BS or 3 years with an MS in STEM.
• Active US Government Secret clearance (or eligibility for Continuous Evaluation).
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance within a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

• Develop and publish Integrated Test Plans, detailed test plans and test schedules.
• Provide laboratory support for integration testing and test readiness reviews.
• Interface with design, analysis, and test operations teams to define data needs.
• Review test requirements for completeness and conduct data analyses for anomaly resolution.
• Support pre/post-test briefings and maintain status metrics for testing.
