Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Edwards AFB, CA is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Engineer for its Test and Evaluation team. The role is on-site and focuses on aircraft platforms with heavy emphasis on test planning, data analysis, and safety.

You will interface with design and analysis teams, develop test plans, review readiness, and provide real-time decisions in the control room. A STEM degree with 5+ years (BS) or 8+ years (BS) preferred, plus active Secret clearance and SAP

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM field.
Minimum 5 years with BS or 3 years with MS in STEM.
Active U.S. Government Secret clearance or equivalent.
Ability to obtain SAP clearance per business needs.

Responsibilities

Interface with design and analysis teams to define test configuration and data requirements.
Review and evaluate test requirements for completeness of test program.
Support and host test planning groups across multiple disciplines.
Develop detailed test plans, safety plans, schedules and procedures.
Provide control room support and real-time safety and efficiency decisions.
Conduct pre/post-test data analyses to identify and resolve anomalies.
Maintain metrics on test status and issues impacting testing.
