Job summary

Credit Acceptance is seeking a Distinguished Engineer to set the multi-year technical strategy while remaining hands-on with core systems. You will architect the enterprise target architecture and an AI agent architecture, aligning domains such as originations, servicing, marketplace, and data.

This role carries no direct reports but demands influence to drive architecture across teams. You will lead migration off on‑premises infrastructure to AWS and Databricks for analytics, defining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 10 years of software engineering experience or comparable depth.
• Experience setting multi-year technical strategy at enterprise scale.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise target architecture across originations, servicing, marketplace, data, and AI.
• Own the enterprise agent architecture spanning servicing, collections and dealer/originations.
• Lead migration off on-premises infrastructure to AWS for transactional workloads and Databricks for analytics.
• Define data, security, and governance practices for non-human agents and AI initiatives.
