Job summary
RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Principal Software Engineer in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. You will contribute to the development of advanced software solutions for mission-critical applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance software across a broad portfolio of products.
The role requires embedded C/C++ experience, knowledge of multi-threaded systems, and a background in secure software development.
Qualifications
- Requires embedded C/C++ development experience and integration into complex product software.
- Experience with multi-threaded product software and full lifecycle software development practices.
- Knowledge of embedded security software development and integration.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate software for mission-critical applications with high reliability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, and systems engineering to integrate technologies across product lines.
- Contribute to requirements definition, software design/architecture, implementation, and verification.
