Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Principal Systems Security Engineer – Cybersecurity to lead security architecture, audits, and risk analyses for complex defense programs. You will contribute to system integration, verification, and bid efforts, requiring DoD familiarity and Top-Secret eligibility.

This on-site role demands US citizenship and a security clearance. Applicants should have strong cryptographic hardware knowledge and proficiency in Rust/Python, with DoD contract experience

Qualifications

• Must have active US Secret clearance with Top-Secret eligibility.
• US citizenship required for clearance.
• Experience with DoD/Federal IA certification and RMF.
• Familiar with NIST 800-53 RMF and NIST SP 800-37.
• Experience with hardware/software integration and testing.
• Experience presenting technical data to management.

Responsibilities

• Implement security improvements by assessing current situations and designing architecture and policies.
• Perform cybersecurity analysis on collected data and test results.
• Conduct cybersecurity audits to ensure compliance of system security posture.
• Plan, integrate, and validate systems; analyze cost, risk, and effectiveness of total solutions.
• Contribute to bid and proposal efforts.
