Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids, IA is hiring a Project Engineer to drive cross-functional software and hardware development across multiple programs. You will align program leadership with engineering teams to maintain momentum toward common goals and ensure design and development activities meet scope, cost, and schedule commitments.

The role requires DoD-level security clearance, a STEM degree with extensive experience, and strong expertise in EVM, IMS, CAM, and SDLC.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8+ years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Bid and proposal experience in Aerospace & Defense industries desired.
• Experience with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development using MS Project.
• Experience in risk and opportunity management; Scrum Master/PO experience; SDLC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with software engineers and program teams to manage scope across multiple programs.
• Ensure requirements are defined, risks managed, and schedules and budgets met.
• Operate under limited supervision to meet technical, financial, and schedule targets.
• Perform and manage Control Account Management (CAM) activities.
• Manage Integrated Master Schedule for the DevSecOps scope.
• Create bid and proposal efforts in Bid Master Web (BMW).
