Job summary

Raytheon Space and Air division in El Segundo, CA seeks a Principal Software Engineer (Embedded / Radar) to lead a software team focused on ASARS-2A ground station and radar software development. You will own agile processes, mentor engineers, and drive software across the full lifecycle for complex radar systems.

The role requires a TS clearance, STEM degree, and extensive C/C++/ReactJS experience, with UNIX/RTOS exposure and experience in large-scale ground station projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Experience with radar-development software and related languages/tools.
• Active and transferable U.S. government Top Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead agile software development team as SME and product owner for ASARS-2A.
• Develop and support ground station software for ASARS-2A.
• Mentor team members and onboard new hires.
• Facilitate customer meetings and contribute to lifecycle stages of SW development.
