Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks Electronics Engineer or Principal Electronics Engineer to support phase array sensor systems from Baltimore, with a subsequent two-year assignment in Palmdale, CA. Travel up to 10% is required, and a Top Secret clearance is mandatory.

After initial Baltimore training, you will engage in testing, system integration, and mission support across multiple sites, collaborating with engineers and customers to ensure system readiness and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline with relevant work experience (2+ years for Electronics Engineer, 5+ years for Principal Electronics Engineer).
• Experience with AESA radar/communications systems, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
• Willingness to rotate schedules, including periodic shift and weekend work as needed.
• Willingness to work out of Baltimore for initial training and Palmdale assignment after two years.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% (CONUS/OCONUS).
• US Citizen with current/active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain/maintain SCI and SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance with installation and test support of a phase array sensor system.
• Work as part of a team to support mission operations and system testing.
• Post-installation and pre-mission testing coordination with platform systems; evaluate test results.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and test software issues; propose corrective actions.
• Assist with equipment design changes to improve safety and efficiency; supervise repair technicians.
