Job summary
Northrop Grumman Corp. in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer – Radar to join the Avionics Integration Organization onsite in Rancho Bernardo. The role supports the Radar Responsible Engineer for sensors/payload, with up to 25% travel and potential hybrid work.
Strong STEM credentials and security clearances are required. Basic qualifications include a STEM degree with 5+ years of experience or an advanced degree with fewer years, plus MATLAB/Python experience and Linux
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in STEM plus 5+ years related experience, or Master’s with 3+ years, or PhD with 1 year.
- Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with MATLAB and Python.
- Experience with data analysis and system integration.
- Ability to obtain/maintain US Secret Clearance and SAP clearance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with radar sensor integration on aircraft and ground systems.
- Provide technical oversight and reviews of radar supplier engineering.
- Help manage technical risks, opportunities, and issues.
- Support status reporting to IPT Leads, Program Managers and Chiefs Engineers.
- Develop and sustain radar-related electronic equipment and test systems.
