Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join the Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) Directorate on site. This role requires a DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

You will work in a hands‑on, multi‑discipline environment to design and integrate test solutions for Raytheon products. Typical work includes developing test interfaces, evaluating instruments, and leading engineering efforts across stages of product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM plus 8+ years’ experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD clearance.
• Experience in electrical design, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Experience with Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, power meters.
• Ability to interpret schematics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate Raytheon products within TEE in multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop engineering and production test systems and interface adapters.
• Manage technical, cost, and schedule aspects of assigned projects.
• Identify and resolve issues in development and implementation of test products.
