Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer for our on-site team in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on hands-on, multi-discipline engineering within the Test Equipment Engineering Directorate, developing and integrating test solutions for Raytheon products.

The candidate will design and develop test interfaces, cabling, and instrumentation, while managing technical, cost, and schedule aspects. A DoD Secret clearance and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required, with extensive relevant experience; Advanced degree preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is required.
• Experience in electrical engineering design, troubleshooting, analysis, and test.
• Experience with electrical design tools: Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic.
• Experience with test equipment: Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analyzers, Power Meters.
• Experience using schematic capture tools and interpreting schematics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate Raytheon products within TEE across multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop engineering and production test systems, interfaces, and cabling; create technical drawings and schematics.
• Manage technical, cost, and schedule aspects of assigned projects; perform problem solving and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate to resolve issues during development and implementation of test products.
