Job summary

Advanced Energy in Wilmington, MA is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead cross‑functional design from concept through production. You will guide complex power conversion projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate with customers to translate requirements into robust, manufacturable solutions.

You will influence product direction, ensure performance, reliability and compliance, and work with manufacturing and supply chain to drive cost reductions while maintaining quality and schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Strong problem-solving and mentoring abilities.
• Experience with leading cross-functional projects and communicating with customers.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze systems, products, and subsystems to specification, cost, schedule and quality goals.
• Diagnose issues across design, field performance, reliability and test yields and implement corrective actions.
• Own the success of the product/system in customer applications and drive improvements as needed.
• Follow Product Development Process and ECO processes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain to reduce costs and improve manufacturability and quality.
