Job summary

RTX's Effector Digital Products (EDP) organization in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Digital Design Engineer who will lead the design, analysis, simulation, test and integration of digital electronic modules and CCAs for missile applications, spanning from concept through production.

You will work with high‑speed digital electronics, FPGAs, memory and interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI and UART; collaborate across engineering teams to deliver robust hardware, and ensure qualification

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of engineering digital circuit design experience including at least 2 of: electronic circuit design, multi‑assembly system design; ability to take a design concept to a full hardware design and verify via test and integration; PCB design tools for schematic capture, analysis and simulation.

Responsibilities

• Design, analysis, simulation, test and integration of digital electronic modules/CCAs for missile applications.
• Work with hardware designs including processors, FPGAs, memory, and industry interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART).
• Collaborate with engineers to implement high‑speed digital electronics and mixed processor architectures.
• Assist in bringing designs from concept through production and qualification.
