Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr Principal Digital Design Engineer to join the Effector Digital Products group in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on digital electronics design for missile applications, including high‑speed logic, programmable devices, and interface protocols. Onsite with a DoD clearance requirement and relocation options.

You will design, analyze, simulate, test, and integrate digital modules and CCAs, collaborating with multi‑discipline teams to deliver robust hardware for military systems.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 10+ years in digital circuit design including hardware development and verification.
• Experience with PCB design, schematic capture, and pre-hardware analysis.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to design digital circuits for missile guidance, video, and DSP.
• Lead design and verification of digital modules and CCAs for missile applications.
• Design with processors, FPGAs, memory and industry interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART).
• Perform analysis, simulation, testing and integration of hardware designs.
