Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr Principal Digital Design Engineer to join the Effector Digital Products (EDP) team in Tucson, AZ. This 100% onsite role focuses on design, analysis, and validation of digital circuits for missile applications, including high-speed logic, FPGAs, and complex interfaces.

Security clearance is required. The candidate will lead hardware design efforts, guide test and integration activities, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure reliable, production-ready

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Design and development of electronic circuit designs and multi-assembly system units.
• Take a design concept from requirements to hardware design with verification via test.
• Experience with PCB design process and schematic capture tools for design before hardware execution.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test, and integrate digital modules for missile applications.
• Design hardware with processors, FPGAs, memory, and interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust digital solutions.
