Veeva Systems is building an AI-driven platform for life sciences, and as a Principal DevOps Engineer you will be a founding member of the team. You will shape cloud architecture, tooling, and deployment practices from the ground up, with live customers within your first year.

This role emphasizes automation, IaC, CI/CD, and scalable infrastructure using AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes, offering a vibrant, remote-friendly environment and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps roles focusing on tooling, automation, and distributed systems.
• Mentor to grow team capabilities.
• Extensive experience designing and programming applications in AWS.
• Hands-on with IaC and configuration tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Deep expertise with containerization, serverless architectures, and orchestrators (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Proficient in Python and statically typed languages like Java, Scala, or Go.
• Hands-on with CI pipelines (Jenkins, CircleCI, Codefresh).
• Experience with monitoring/observability frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth software engineering expertise in cloud architecture, design patterns, and programming.
• Implement core DevOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), continuous integration, and automated deployments.
• Build and manage robust CI/CD workflows to automate full-lifecycle tasks and elevate developer productivity.
• Provision, manage, and scale infrastructure using Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• Drive architectural design, integration solutions, and engineering best practices across the organization.
• Proactively improve system reliability, availability, performance, and durability to minimize operational risk.
