Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Engineer, Data Platforms to own the architecture and evolution of the Unified Ingestion Platform and Federated Data Lake. You will drive observability, security, governance, and operational telemetry across Azure, AWS, and GCP to enable scalable data ingestion at enterprise scale.

You will lead the Databricks strategy, establish security and governance frameworks, automate provisioning, and mentor teams while aligning with OTEL/OCSF standards and FinOps

Qualifications

• 10+ years building enterprise cloud data platforms and ingestion ecosystems.
• 8+ years Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, governance frameworks.
• 8+ years IaC/CI/CD with Terraform or similar tools.
• 7+ years designing high-scale streaming/telemetry ingestion (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.).
• 5+ years leading as Principal Engineer/Lead Architect driving multi-cloud strategy.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture and multi-year roadmap for the Unified Ingestion Platform and Federated Data Lake.
• Lead enterprise Databricks strategy, security governance, and data lifecycle management.
• Drive Infrastructure-as-Code, Policy-as-Code, automated provisioning, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and drive cloud-native practices, governance standards, and platform adoption.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, governed data platform for analytics/AI/ML workloads.
