Job summary

Pearson is seeking a senior product manager/strategist to shape Content Excellence standards across units and lead practical AI-enabled content initiatives.

You will work alongside content business units to rebuild production workflows, define taxonomy, and design metadata schemas, measuring quality gains and learner outcomes. This role blends hands-on execution with coaching and strategy.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of product management experience in content, publishing, or content platform domains with technical depth.
• Hands-on ownership of content standards work: taxonomy and metadata design, quality frameworks, and structured content.
• Direct experience with authoring, production, and delivery platforms (CMS, DAM, LCMS) including migrations you helped deliver.
• Built and shipped substantive content systems work as owning PM, with AI tooling in the last 12–18 months.
• Experience in empowered product team models where ownership is outcomes-based with value-centric planning (QBRs/roadmap).
• Strong continuous discovery skills, both generative and evaluative, translating into content outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Implement the content standards spine in real business unit work with global quality data standards and 95% metadata accuracy.
• Redesign and shorten production workflows by eliminating handoffs and rework.
• Partner with Pearson content leadership on strategy, planning, and craft, even with resistance.
• Guide teams to high-quality plans and content strategy tracing to learner jobs and business outcomes.
• Design and deliver training anchored in real content problems rather than generic curricula.
• Contribute to the content job family and career architecture; advance the community of practice.
