Job summary

Empower seeks a Principal Business Systems Analyst to drive complex business process evaluation and technology-driven solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will lead cross-functional Agile teams, translate complex needs into actionable user stories, mentor analysts, and help shape future application roadmaps across the Value stream.

You will partner with architects and system analysts to develop scalable solutions, guide incident responses, and document technical flows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant work experience as Lead Business Systems Analyst.
• Ability to analyze complex processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Strong communication to translate stakeholder needs into technical solutions.
• Experience bridging business needs and technology with multi-platform apps and databases.
• Proficient in documenting requirements, manuals, workflows, and specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to gather and document business requirements for software development projects.
• Translate business needs into clear user stories aligned with project goals.
• Independently perform critical analyses and influence best practices.
• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and development teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements.
• Conduct interviews, story mapping, workflow analysis, and observations to support IT projects.
• Analyze existing systems to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
• Coordinate with QA and Engineers to review story requirements and validate functionality.
• Troubleshoot issues and conduct impact analysis to propose solutions.
• Review system enhancements with stakeholders and document technical solutions.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and Agile trends.
• Coach and mentor Analysts and contribute to the Analyst COE.
