Job summary

Cadence is seeking a Principal Application Engineer to provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for Digital Implementation and Signoff tools. You will work with sales to run workshops, benchmarks, demos, and methodology consultations, and drive successful deployments at customer sites.

Responsibilities include delivering technical campaigns, evaluating tools at customers, collaborating with R&D, and creating content for Cadence Online Support. Travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• BS-EE with 8–10 years or MS-EE with 6–8 years, core timing signoff expertise.
• Digital design fundamentals and Static Timing Analysis required.
• Experience with ASIC digital implementation flows and tools.
• Scripting knowledge TCL/Perl/Python.

Responsibilities

• Present Cadence Digital Implementation and Signoff tool capabilities to customers.
• Support sales campaigns with workshops, benchmarks and demonstrations.
• Collaborate with account teams to define technical campaigns and opportunities.
• Assist with technical evaluations/benchmarks and drive project delivery.
• Provide ongoing support and promote tool usage at customers (onsite/offsite).
• Work with R&D on tool/methodology improvements.
• Create technical content for Cadence Online Support and travel up to 20%.
