Cadence Design Systems in California seeks a Senior Principal Application Engineer to lead complex pre-sales and post-sales engagements for Cadence Digital IC products at advanced nodes. You will solve design challenges and deliver innovative solutions to ensure customer success.

You will influence design methodologies, mentor engineers, and develop custom automation using TCL, PERL and Python, while partnering with sales to showcase Cadence's leadership in digital implementation.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in physical implementation and signoff at 7nm and below.
• Expertise in digital synthesis, place-and-route, STA, AI in EDA, and timing/power goals for advanced node designs.
• Proficient in scripting for automation and flow customization.

Responsabilités

• Lead technical strategy and execution for critical customer design projects at advanced nodes (3nm and below).
• Partner with sales teams to showcase Cadence leadership in digital implementation.
• Serve as primary consultant for advanced-node design synthesis, signoff, and power optimization; mentor junior engineers.
