Job summary

RTX’s Effector RF Design Team in Tucson, AZ seeks a Principal Engineer to lead the design and implementation of antenna, radome, and/or RCS ranges and chambers. The role involves technical oversight, mentoring, and collaboration with government programs to define requirements and ensure compliance.

You will work onsite in Tucson, lead cross-functional teams, and guide technology roadmaps while coordinating with suppliers and internal engineering groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• 8+ years of relevant experience including testing of antennas or radomes in a chamber or test range; operation of an antenna, radome, and/or RCS chamber/range.
• Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start; potential for program access.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement antenna, radome, and/or RCS ranges and chambers.
• Lead interdisciplinary engineering teams to define, analyze, simulate, implement, and evaluate requirements for ranges and chambers.
• Oversee procurement and service of chamber/range equipment and oversee new range/chamber implementations.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training across the organization.
