Slalom is hiring a Principal AI/ML Architect in the Washington, DC area to lead enterprise AI initiatives. You will design production-grade AI systems spanning data products, model orchestration, and agentic workflows, across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

You will mentor multi-disciplinary delivery teams, shape AI/ML roadmaps, and support business development while championing Responsible AI and governance. Onsite presence is expected up to 3 days weekly at client sites or Slalom offices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in production ML/AI
• 3+ years in consulting or IT services
• Hands-on design of end-to-end AI systems
• Experience with GenAI, RAG, embeddings, and tool calls
• Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to stakeholders

Responsabilités

• Architect enterprise-scale AI systems across data products and model orchestration.
• Design secure, cloud-native architectures across AWS/Azure/Google Cloud.
• Lead AI solution design in generative/agentic AI, multimodal, and knowledge systems.
• Enable production GenAI adoption with tool calling, memory patterns and governance.
• Define evaluation, observability, and reliability patterns for AI systems.
• Mentor delivery teams and support business development.
