Job summary

Slalom is seeking an AI/ML Architect to design and deliver enterprise-scale AI systems. You will lead cross-functional delivery teams, shape strategy, and drive responsible AI practices across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

You will mentor consultants, support business development, and help clients move AI from experimentation to reliable operations in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Production ML/AI experience with diverse models and systems.
• 3+ years in professional consulting or IT services leading client engagements.
• Hands-on design of end-to-end AI architectures with data, APIs and security.
• Deep understanding of GenAI patterns, embeddings and multimodal inputs.
• Experience with agentic AI architectures and workflow orchestration.
• Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and cloud-native AI tooling.
• Strong Python skills and modern software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect enterprise-scale AI systems spanning data, retrieval, and orchestration.
• Design cloud-native and hybrid architectures across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
• Lead AI solution design across generative, agentic, and multimodal use cases.
• Enable production GenAI adoption with tool calls, memory patterns, and gates.
• Define evaluation, observability, and reliability patterns for AI systems.
• Champion Responsible AI, privacy, bias mitigation, and governance.
• Evaluate emerging models/frameworks and provide practical recommendations.
• Mentor cross-functional delivery teams and support business development.
