Job summary

Atlassian's Confluence team seeks a senior product manager to own how connected content becomes knowledge, including what to pull in, how it is organized, and how it stays current.

You will drive AI-powered experiences, define quality and retrieval standards, and collaborate with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Research, and Security & Trust.

This role requires 8+ years in product management, a track record shipping 0-to-1 products, and the ability to balance admin trust with user value.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management, with content retrieval or model-powered experience.
• Led a 0-to-1 product from strategy through launch and initial metrics.
• Shipped features powered by large language models with defined evals.
• Experience with unstructured content and retrieval-augmented generation.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and roadmap for connected content in Confluence.
• Define how inputs become usable structure for documents, transcripts, chats, and CRM records.
• Own freshness and decay; set update rules when sources change.
• Set and defend the quality bar for retrieval including permissions and latency.
• Define AI placement and behavior when outputs are wrong.
• Drive execution across Engineering, Design, Data Science, Research, Marketing, Partnerships, and Security & Trust.
• Mentor PMs and raise the quality of specs and decisions.
