Job summary

At Atlassian, we seek a Product Manager passionate about AI-powered conversational experiences to drive Rovo Chat, Atlassian's AI-driven interface that helps teams discover knowledge, take action, and work smarter across the digital workplace.

You will work with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and external sources to enhance knowledge access, proactive assistance, and multi-turn conversations across Atlassian's product suite.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years as a Product Manager with exposure to AI/ML-powered products, conversational systems, or search experiences.
• Uses AI tools daily to draft specs, analyze data, synthesize research, create prototypes, and unblock decisions.
• Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts including LLMs, RAG pipelines, and conversational systems.
• Experience building and scaling SaaS products, ideally in collaboration, productivity, or developer tooling domains.
• Strong communication and influencing skills across customers, engineering, design, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for Rovo Chat, aligning with Atlassian's AI strategy and user needs.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities to grow Chat adoption and engagement (MAU), balancing user value with measurable business outcomes.
• Drive the development of intelligent chat experiences that connect users to knowledge across Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and third-party sources.
• Advance multi-turn conversation quality, context awareness, memory, and proactive assistance.
• Partner with engineering, design, data science, GTM, and enterprise teams to deliver features from ideation through launch and iteration.
• Operate with program-level rigor: run shiprooms, manage action items, and hold teams accountable to deadlines and quality bars.
• Define and monitor success metrics for Chat quality and adoption.
• Champion responsible AI practices, ensuring safe, transparent, and inclusive conversational experiences.
